Two ways in. Same question: why?

Most practices give you one lens. Here you get both, from the same doctor, without repeating your story to a stranger.

If your body hurts

Chiropractic

Hands-on care for the spine, joints and nervous system — gentle enough for a newborn, specific enough for an athlete.

  • Low back, neck and mid-back pain
  • Headaches and jaw tension
  • Sciatica and nerve symptoms
  • Prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care
  • Manual or low-force tool-based adjusting

If you feel unwell but tests look “normal”

Functional Medicine

Deep history plus specialty lab testing to find what standard panels miss — then a written plan you can actually follow.

  • Gut issues: SIBO, reflux, IBS, food sensitivity
  • Fatigue, thyroid and hormone imbalance
  • Stress and HPA axis dysregulation
  • Nutrient deficiencies and lipid profiles
  • Testing through Genova, Cyrex, BioHealth and Doctor’s Data

Not sure which one you need? That’s normal — tell us what’s going on and we’ll point you the right way.

Now offering

Shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon pain

Radial pressure wave therapy for the problems that outlast rest and stretching — plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy.

It is not a magic wand, and we won’t sell it as one. The evidence is strongest in problems lasting more than three months, and only when it’s paired with a progressive loading programme. Every course here includes one.

Plantar fasciitis & heel pain Tennis & golfer’s elbow Achilles tendinopathy

Assessment first. Shockwave suits some presentations and not others, and you’ll get a straight answer either way.

Our framework

Optimizing your health starts with five factors

Adjustments and lab work matter. But lasting change lives in these five places, and we work on them with you rather than handing you a pamphlet.

Factor One

Diet & Nutrition

It all begins with baby steps. Small decisions over time create big effects. Your goals are unique, and so should your dietary recommendations be — inclusive and diverse, not a printout everyone gets.

Factor Two

Exercise & Movement

Our bodies were made to move. Long walks, the gym, or a hike among the redwoods — we help you find the form of activity that fits your schedule and your outlook, then build around it.

Factor Three

Stress Reduction

In modern society we wear stress like a badge of honor. It can affect every system and every cell. Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to see where stress can come out of your life.

Factor Four

Optimizing Sleep

One of the most basic human needs, and possibly the most underutilized healthy habit. Do you wake up rested? Understanding how to improve your sleep has far-reaching effects.

Factor Five

Mindset & Social Connection

A positive mindset, a support network and deep community relationships can be the difference between succeeding and failing at difficult lifestyle changes.

“The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest patients in the care of the human body, in diet and the prevention of disease.”
— Thomas Edison

Know exactly what your first visits look like

Nobody likes walking into an appointment blind. Here’s the actual sequence, with honest time estimates.

  1. Initial Examination

Collecting and discussing a detailed health history is of utmost importance. A thorough physical exam may include neurological and orthopedic testing, posture analysis and joint range-of-motion evaluation. If needed, we offer digital X-rays on site. Expect ample one-on-one time with the doctor.

    About 1 hour
  2. Report of Findings

We want you in the loop. We detail your treatment plan, treatment frequency, and the results of your exam and/or X-ray. We’ll discuss what to expect in the coming weeks, during a typical treatment, and what our approach to your condition will be.

    About 30 minutes
  3. Ongoing Treatment

We use a variety of techniques to tailor an individualized treatment. From traditional manual adjustments to low-force tool-based adjustments, your comfort is our first priority. We use heat, traction (stretching) tables, and percussion to promote relaxation prior to your adjustment.

    About 20 minutes

Times are approximate. Not sure which appointment you need? Call (408) 778-6770 and we’ll help you decide.

Your doctor

Dr. Diana Tole, DC

Dr. Diana has been practicing chiropractic in Morgan Hill since 2008 — long enough that she’s adjusted three generations of some families here. She was a chiropractic patient herself from her early teens, and trained at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose.

Wanting to go further than the spine, she earned the ADAPT Trained Practitioner designation from Kresser Institute in functional and ancestral health. That’s what lets her look at your gut, your sleep and your labs in the same conversation as your low back.

She lives in Morgan Hill with her family and two French Bulldogs. You might catch her on a hiking trail or picking up produce at the Farmer’s Market.

In patients’ own words

Patients keep mentioning the same three things

She asks a lot of questions, she’s gentle, and she explains what she’s doing. Nobody was prompted to say that.

★★★★★

I was so pleased Debbie was able to fit me in to their busy schedule with short notice because I was in so much pain. Dr. Diana was easy to talk to & extremely knowledgeable. She will go over my xrays & decide on a treatment plan for me on my next visit. I was given a thorough exam and she applied very gentle techniques. I was looking for a chiro in MH and I’m so happy I have found Grifall Family Chiropractic.

— Susan W.Left for Grifall Family Chiropractic, the office where Dr. Diana Tole, DC sees patients.
★★★★★

I met with Dr. Diana. I was a bit nervous to get this process started and she made me feel very comfortable. She was professional, personable and knowledgeable and I left my exam feeling hopeful and excited to start my treatment.

— Jillian G.

The staff and all you come in contact with are all there to help.

Before you book

Common questions

Do you take my insurance?

Chiropractic care is covered by many plans, and we’ll verify your benefits before your first visit — call (408) 778-6770 with your card handy and we’ll tell you what to expect. Functional medicine consults, lab panels and supplements are generally not covered by insurance; we quote those up front so there are no surprises. [VERIFY: list the specific plans accepted, and whether the practice is in-network or out-of-network.]

I’ve never seen a chiropractor. Will an adjustment hurt?

Dr. Diana practices several techniques and picks the one that matches your comfort level and your body — from traditional manual adjustments to low-force, tool-based ones. Heat, traction tables and percussion are used first to relax the area. Patients describe her as “very gentle,” and nervous first-timers are the norm here, not the exception.

What’s the difference between chiropractic and functional medicine here?

Same philosophy, different tools. Chiropractic addresses the spine, joints and nervous system through hands-on care. Functional medicine uses history and lab testing to look at gut, hormones, stress and nutrient status. Many patients start with one and add the other. You do not have to choose on day one — if you’re unsure, book the chiropractic exam and Dr. Diana will tell you honestly which path fits.

How soon can I be seen?

Most new patients are seen within the same week, and we hold time for acute pain. Call (408) 778-6770 — if you’re in a lot of pain, say so, and we’ll work to fit you in. [VERIFY: confirm typical lead time and whether same-day acute slots are genuinely held.]

Do I need X-rays?

Only if the exam findings call for them. We have digital X-ray on site, so if imaging is clinically indicated it happens during your visit rather than becoming a second trip to another facility.

What happens after the first appointment?

You come back for a Report of Findings, which is a dedicated 30-minute appointment where Dr. Diana walks you through the exam results, any imaging, what she thinks is driving the problem, and the proposed plan and frequency. You’ll know the plan before you commit to it.

Let's find out why.

Call the office, request a time online, or text us a question first. Most new patients are seen within the same week.
